TenGuard Security exists to close a gap we kept running into: businesses that were told what was wrong with their security, but had no one to actually fix it — and businesses that had solid security in practice but nothing written down to prove it. Both fail audits. Both stay exposed. We do the engineering work and the compliance work, because in practice they are the same job approached from two directions.
We work with small and mid-sized organizations that need real security without enterprise budgets or enterprise headcount. That includes defense contractors facing CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 obligations, where our assessor credentials carry particular weight, and it includes companies pursuing ISO 27001, aligning to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or simply trying to get secure before a customer, an insurer, or an incident forces the issue.
We operate with full transparency. You will always know where you stand, what is required, and what it will take to get there — including when the honest answer is that you need less than you were told.
Assessor-level compliance credentials paired with hands-on engineering experience. Our guidance is grounded in implementing and assessing real controls in real environments, not in reading the standard.
Security is not a one-time event. We stay through implementation, through the audit, and through the maintenance cycle that follows — rather than handing over a report and moving on.
We start by finding out where you actually are. Not where a questionnaire says you are — where your systems, your configurations, and your documentation genuinely stand against the framework you need to meet. That gap analysis becomes the roadmap for everything that follows, sequenced by what reduces risk fastest and what your auditor will look at hardest.
Then we do the work. Implementing and configuring the security tooling, hardening the systems, and building out the access controls and monitoring that the framework requires and that genuinely protect you. This is the step most consultancies skip, and it is the step where compliance programs usually stall out.
Then we make it provable. Policies, procedures, the System Security Plan, and an organized evidence library that maps each control to the artifact that demonstrates it. When an assessor asks how you meet a requirement, the answer is a document you can hand them — not a meeting you have to schedule.
Throughout, we work as a coordinator across your teams. Compliance breaks down at the boundaries between IT, HR, operations, and leadership, where everyone assumes someone else owns a control. Making sure each requirement has a real owner and real evidence is a substantial part of what we do.
Your engagement is led by a credentialed Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (Lead CCA), a credential issued by the Cyber Accreditation Body (Cyber AB) and held alongside the Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) and Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) credentials. Those assessor credentials are exercised on a C3PAO assessment team, which means the guidance you get comes from someone who sits on the other side of the table during official assessments and knows precisely how evidence is evaluated.
That work is backed by the CISSP, CASP+/SecurityX, and CompTIA Security+ certifications — senior credentials covering security architecture, engineering, and risk management.
The practice spans both sides of the discipline. On the engineering side: implementing and configuring security tooling, hardening systems, and building the technical controls that frameworks require. On the compliance side: leading organization-wide compliance programs, running gap analyses, authoring policies, procedures, and System Security Plans, restructuring documentation so it can withstand an audit, and coordinating across departments to confirm controls are genuinely met — including carrying organizations through preparation for both CMMC and ISO audits.
TenGuard Security was founded to bring that combination — the ability to build a control and then document it to assessor standards — to the small and mid-sized businesses that need it most, without the complexity and cost of a large consulting firm.
The following credentials are issued by the CMMC Accreditation Body (Cyber AB) — the official body that certifies individuals to assess and support CMMC compliance in the Defense Industrial Base.
Beyond CMMC credentials, we hold senior cybersecurity certifications covering security architecture, engineering, risk management, and incident response — the technical foundation behind both the implementation work and the compliance work.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional — the gold standard for senior cybersecurity expertise, recognized globally.
CompTIA SecurityX — validates advanced enterprise security skills including risk management, cryptography, and security architecture.
CompTIA Security+ — foundational certification covering core security concepts, threat detection, and incident response.
