Our Services

TenGuard Security works across three connected disciplines: we engineer the security controls, assess them against the framework you answer to, and document them so they hold up under audit. Engage us for one, or for the whole path from first gap analysis to certification.

CMMC Level 1 & 2 NIST SP 800-171 ISO 27001 NIST Cybersecurity Framework NIST SP 800-53
01 — Engineer

Security Engineering & Implementation

The hands-on work of making a business actually secure. We deploy and configure security tooling, harden systems against real attack paths, and remediate the findings other assessments leave sitting in a spreadsheet.

Security Tool Implementation

Selecting, deploying, and configuring the controls your environment needs — endpoint detection and response, centralized logging and monitoring, multi-factor authentication, email security, vulnerability scanning, and encryption. We handle the implementation end to end, then verify each tool is doing what it is supposed to do rather than sitting in a default configuration.

System Hardening & Secure Configuration

Default configurations are built for convenience, not security. We harden servers, workstations, cloud tenants, and network devices against recognized benchmarks — tightening access control, disabling unnecessary services, enforcing least privilege, and establishing configuration baselines you can hold systems to over time.

Remediation Engineering

Already have an assessment report full of findings and no one to close them? We take that list and do the work — implementing the missing controls, fixing the configurations, and producing the evidence that each item is genuinely resolved. This is where most compliance programs stall, and it is the part we are built for.

Data Protection & Access Control

Identifying your sensitive data — CUI, customer records, intellectual property — and building the controls that keep it contained. Access reviews, role-based permissions, encryption at rest and in transit, and boundary definition that limits how far a compromise can spread and how much of your environment falls in scope for audit.

Backup, Recovery & Continuity

Ransomware resilience starts with backups that actually restore. We design and implement backup strategies, verify recovery works by testing it, and document the incident response and continuity procedures that most frameworks require — so an outage is a bad afternoon instead of a company-ending event.

02 — Assess

Compliance & Audit Readiness

Knowing where you stand, what the framework actually requires, and what it will take to pass. We assess against the standard that applies to you and prepare you for the audit itself.

Gap Analysis & Readiness Assessment

A thorough review of your current security posture against the framework you need to meet — CMMC Level 1 or 2, NIST SP 800-171, ISO 27001, or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. You get a clear report of which controls are met, partially met, or missing, plus a prioritized remediation roadmap that sequences the work by risk and effort rather than control number.

CMMC Readiness Consulting

TenGuard Security is led by a holder of the Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (Lead CCA) credential, exercised on a C3PAO assessment team. That assessor-level experience drives our CMMC consulting: we evaluate you against all 110 CMMC Level 2 practices and build a concrete plan to get you ready for your official assessment. Pre-Assessment Review

Before the audit that counts, a structured dry run. We walk your controls, documentation, and evidence the same way an official assessor would, interview your staff the way an assessor will, and surface the problems while you still have time to fix them. For CMMC in particular, this is one of the highest-value engagements available to you.

Audit Coordination & Support

Compliance fails at the seams between teams — IT thinks HR owns it, HR thinks IT does. We coordinate across your departments to make sure every control has a real owner and real evidence, then act as your point of contact during the audit itself: fielding assessor requests, producing evidence, and keeping the process on track.

Ongoing Compliance Support

Certification is a point in time; compliance is continuous. CMMC Level 2 runs on a three-year cycle, ISO 27001 requires surveillance audits, and every framework expects your program to keep pace with changes in your environment. We provide ongoing advisory support to manage those changes, prepare for renewals, and keep your certification intact.

03 — Document

Governance Documentation

The written program behind the technical one. Auditors assess what you can demonstrate — and documentation that nobody follows fails just as hard as documentation that does not exist.

System Security Plan (SSP) Development

The SSP is the foundational document describing how your organization protects sensitive information, and it is required for CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171. We develop a thorough, assessor-ready SSP that accurately documents your security controls, system boundaries, and implementation details — written to withstand scrutiny rather than to fill a template.

Policy & Procedure Development

Policies that set direction and procedures that tell your staff what to actually do. We write both — access control, incident response, configuration management, media protection, personnel security, and the rest of the domains your framework covers — tailored to how your business genuinely operates so your team can follow them without a translator.

Documentation Review & Organization

Many organizations have most of what they need, scattered across shared drives, email threads, and half-finished templates. We review what exists, identify what is missing or contradictory, and restructure the whole body of documentation into an organized, mapped evidence library — so when an assessor asks for proof of a control, you can produce it in seconds instead of days.

Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)

Where gaps remain, a POA&M documents how and when you will close them. We build a realistic, credible POA&M with defined owners, timelines, and resources — one that satisfies the requirement and gives assessors confidence that outstanding items are actively being worked, not parked indefinitely.

Security Awareness & Role-Based Training

Your people are part of your control set, and most frameworks require you to prove they are trained. We deliver training covering sensitive data handling, access control, phishing recognition, and incident reporting — plus the role-specific training required for privileged users — and produce the completion records that satisfy the requirement.

Not sure where to start?

Most engagements begin with a gap analysis — it establishes where you stand, what your target framework actually demands, and what the realistic path forward looks like. From there you can hand us the remediation work, take it in-house, or split it. There is no obligation to buy the whole program, and we will tell you plainly if you need less than you think.
